Monday's pets on furniture

If you'd like to send me photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it's dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet!)

First up is a pet entry that is very dear to me. Wanda, the angel that took in the homeless cat (now named Desi, last update of her was here) my husband and I were taking care of over the winter, sent me some videos and some fantastic photos of Desi. Here are the pics and a video is here on my page.
Here is Desi laying around, first on my bed which she loves and then on the sofa next to the window, where she watches the squirrels outside. She is the most adorable little cat.
- Wanda (Hamilton, ON)

Here is a pic of my 11 month old Weimaraner/Lab mix Lucy looking very serious on our living room sofa.
- Clare

Here is Callie, my corgi/jack russell mix posing on a Moroccon pouf - she's quite the little ham and I'd say she has pretty good taste.
- Cait (Chicago, IL)

I very happily live in Arequipa Perú with three dogs. This the the big one, Avilés, a street dog before we became friends and he moved in. The photo is of a small corner of the house where my tiny office is. I included the chair but omitted the desk because my 27" Cinema Display (which is actually larger than the desk!) would make it look like an Apple ad.
- Lawrence

This is my lovely manx cat Tobi lounging in his two favorite places. I think he enjoys the warmth the sunshine brings to the spot within the living room. He is resting on a re-covered hotel chair and our large shadowbox table.
- Amy (South Carolina)

This is Fonzi. We adopted him from our local shelter and things have never been the same since. We can usually find him lounging on our bed, but he recently discovered that he could sit on the patio and watch the world go by! :)
- Lindsey (California)

You've featured my kitties on your lovely blog before, here are some more recent pics you may want to post.
- Sandra

I have moved to a new house recently, what was a big surprise for my two cats, Cyryl and Kornelia. After few weeks, Cyryl definetely has found his place on earth in the new address, occupying an old, white dresser. Here he is!
- Kasia (Poland)

This is my lovely rescued cat, Sqeek, so called because that's the noise she makes instead of meowing. When not curled up in my mother's favorite basket cuddling her Beetles pillow, she's snoozing on my mustard  'ugly' armchair, also rescued from a skip in New York city.
- Richael (Co. Mayo, Ireland)

Maya loves the new chair, and the blanket is perfect camouflage.
- Karen (Maryland, USA)

What a great picture story. Lucy demonstrates that well designed rooms include a great black(and/or white) accessory to complete the vision. As proof that bringing nature into your designs makes them beautiful and organic I notice that all of the pets pictured here coordinate well into the color schemes of their surroundings. Love it!

What ladies and gentlemen today! Queens and kings on their (golden) thrones. One more beautiful and proud then the other. Desi has found the best for herself and she knows. Her aura is shining.

I absolutely LOVE the green/white pattern duvet cover and pillow case in the first photo. Who makes it? Where is it from? I must have it!

I especially love the rescues, but they're all fantastic. The white cat with the Groucho Marx eyebrows really cracks me up! What fun markings.

Fonzi is beautiful!

Fonzi is a hunk! I bet all the ladies love him.

Yay! So excited to see my Fonzi on here! Can you believe no one wanted him?? I think he got the better end of the deal since he gets to sleep in my bed more than me!

Lisa - I bought that duvet 2 years ago at Homesense and - surprisingly, it does not have a label in the seams !

Wanda, thank you for the info on the duvet. I love it. Too bad I'm in the U.S. and I don't think we have Homesense. I'll be on the lookout for something similar. The color and design are fab!

I tried to post a comment but don't see it so I'll try again.
