M. Elle Design encore

Jo's post on Santa Monica interior design team M. Elle Design (consisting of mom Mary Lynn Turner and her daughters Marie and Emily) almost 2 years ago was very well received. Their casual, understated yet elegant style is a hot commodity in the design world, especially when you can pull it off as fabulously as these ladies can. I thought I'd slap you in the face with a second dose of eye candy from their portfolio.

This space makes me feel so incredibly free. I love the contrast between dark and neutral tones and the wide spaces allowing natural light to be the heaven on this delicate landscape.

I love the concrete countertops!! We desperately wanted to do this in our kitchen but ran into time constraints with a baby on the way. We may replace our current counters with them one day...

Some really lovely spaces. I especially love the last photo of that amazing outdoor dining space. (My only dislike is the staged books in photos 4 and 5 - who actually buys and reads full sets of encyclopedias. It just strikes a false note.)

I really like that HUGE island. The kitchen is always the focal point of all parties and a large island helps facilitate that. I also really like the stacked bunkbeds too!

Wow! So many wonderful spaces. I especially love the second picture with the fireplace and stacked wood, this room is truly magnificent. Thank you for sharing!

Love M. Elle and have since I stumbled upon them a few years ago -- probably thanks to Jo!

I'm trying to imagine being the poor b*stard who had to cut that wood to exact specification for a few dollars an hour.
