Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz (again)
I have been a HUGE fan of interior designer Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz of BNOdesign since I stumbled upon his website back in '07. I've blogged some of his projects in the past (here, here and here) and it's about damn time I blog his latest works. His designs can border on bizarre, but they're always fun, funky and bold - either completely bathed in shades of white, or wild colours like pink and turquoise. I think it's a hoot that he uses birds, feathers and fur often in his spaces. You need some talent and ballz to make those items work and not have the result be completely trashy.

Wow... It's a mix of serenity and shock. It's a sexy combination.
Great post!
I love the drama he creates in his interiors..but I prefer the serenity of the first couple of images..and the last two...xx meenal
yesyesyes. whitewhitewhite. :o))
Am I the only one who thinks his designs look absolutely atrocious? It looks like he just took every object he liked that was in a similar color family and threw them together to make a horrible mess. There were several things I liked in each design, but together they just didn't work...
I love the curtains. Do you know if is it a tendence to use more curtains for divide rooms, instead walls? Tks very much. I love your blog!!
That green says nothing to me but: portapotty.
Wow, these houses are built for cocktail parties!! they're positively dripping in chic! Interesting, using sheer curtains as room dividers in the first... you don't see that much...
I do really like some of his work, particularly the first couple of images. He can be bizarre, but that is what makes him who he is... a talented "interiors" artist
i think much of it is pretensious ly self conscious.
and after the second photo of sheers, it seemed like a bad contest for 'how to use sheers *everywhere*
but then, when you are staggering, blinded through the seafoam nightmare, and you stumble into the kitchen and your brain registers bird-on-a-stick photos on the cabinets......your final thought is IS THAT CARPET?!
(bird on a stick refers to the popular notion of putting a bird image on anything and hipster chicks will snap it up....)
modern syb - appreciate your idea that there's a place for all of us but !gah! some of these show no art whatsoever beyond what my kid could do, and I don't have any children!
hmmm I'm not sure. I dont' think I'm a fan of the overwhelmingly one colour rooms.... what if you don't FEEL like that colour that day?? I dont' know.. I'd like a mix, so each day the room looks different depending on how you feel and what you focus on.

Love the smoked clear Casala chair!
I love this apartment, the use of colour is amazing.
Okay it's official I'm playing the lotto so I win and have Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz design my house....lol. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
Thanks so much for sharing
Love it! The colors are fun and sexy, so are the feathers and the fur :)
Blue and green must never be seen, but I am seeing and I am liking.
Gawd, what can I say. Nuthin'
I like the ice blue and white white white everywhere; truly inspirational post you have shown a totally artistic approach. People generally don't prefer to over do colors but here this is looking so perfect.
