A welcome mix of styles

I really REALLY love the following home I discovered last night while doing a quick jaunt around the internet. It's Spanish, built in 1900 and maintains alot of the original architectural detail - the mouldings are to die for! The juxtaposition of these details with the vintage furnishings with a retro vibe is what makes it so appealing to me...and those incredible tile floors. What a great find! Gorgeous house. I wish they had a close-up of the doggies on the settee in the first picture!

This place is really a thing of beauty. It is all about nuance, from the amber panes of glass littered throughout to the skylight in the bathroom. This is a house for living - now I need on of these to pop up in Brooklyn!

Wowsers. I can most certainly see myself living in that space!

Does anyone have information on the arc lamp that is shown with the dinning room table? Thank you.

This house is great! It has a lot of character, and the stylistic diversity is great. I can't stand houses that have the same look and feel throughout - such houses seem not only boring but also like a product of an excessively obsessive mind. Thanks for a great post!

I love it! Do you know where it is located? (Did I miss that?)

This is pretty much my idea of a perfect home! It combines all of my weaknesses...brick walls, subway tiles, neutral tones and an eclectic mix of furniture. Love it!

Gorgeous - on top of everyone's comments above it's the splashes of greenery that do it for me. So fresh :)

Love love LOVE the butcher's tiles in the bathroom. I'm thinking of trying to incorporate that into our new bathroom. I love the look but I'd be concerned that with that much grout I'd have to spend half my life cleaning it!

Wonderful, liveable house - but is that a rabbit on the far right of the sofa (first pic) or a dog with unusually large ears? Whatever and whichever, there's something very touching about the three animals - they look as if they're on their best behaviour for the photo.

I love that the house is flooded with sunlight, no dingy corner here. The owners must have felt blessed.

is that tile on the small bits of wall in the main room? on first glance, I assumed white painted bricks, then gloss white paint but no, it looks to be tile (gloss doesn't shine like that)

which would be an option in the bathroom....

Finally! That truly ugly chair has a comfortable home, beside the bathtub! It actually fits in!
