From dump to dream ... a complete renovation of a row house
They've done it again. Washington D.C. design duo Adams & Duke have taken an utter dive and created a dream home with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. There's even a lower level suite. Sonia first shared Adams & Duke's work back in August and it caused quite a sensation. Now the second project is complete. You won't believe the change after the jump. Yes you have to step warily through the before shots first but that only makes the afters even more spectacular. I would have run screaming from the original house. Hard work, good design and real estate savvy pay off big time.
The befores ...
A teaser to give you hope ...
Back to the horror ...
And now the afters ....

Great Job!!! I wonder what was the cost of the reno.. Looks like there were some leakage.. the original house would have me running & screaming out from the house. LOVE the curb appeal.
OMG (I don't use that phrase in serious everyday conversation but I think the befores needed that). How was that place even still standing. Are they storing pots in a whole in the ceiling!!! Gorgeous after though.
Great job.
One word, WOW!
Amazing!!!!!
This is absolutely incredible and inspiring (especially when I'm in the middle of renovations myself). What a smart way to use space!!
WOW! What an amazing transformation! The finished space is very clever, thoughtful and livable! I love it!
Thanks for the inspiration!
They have managed to make it look like a very beautiful, real 'home' not a just renovated one. I am in awa.
Inspiring desire :o)))
this is just plain AMAZING! totally impressive. a friend of mine is renovating an old german frame house from 1890 and i can't wait to see that result. but when i see this renovation i have hope for her as well. ;-) thanks for sharing
Sometimes one view is not enough to see it all. I visit this post twice, it's great what they have done
Thanks Emie le Noble-Wempe
Very nice and very tasteful. A house to live in and to feel comfortable in. Well done!
Not for the faint hearted! but what a result! amazing!
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of DC homes - they tend to be very very narrow. I like what they've done with it - amazing transformation- though I wish they'd use fewer subway tiles.
Bravo. What a fantastic job. The bathrooms and kitchen are just perfect. The floors, the paint colors -- dreamyl
The duct tape and old quilt leak repair on the before shots made me snort-laugh! A little duct tape can fix anything.
A stunning transformation!
I love everything about this place... except the before pictures that make me want to take a shower (!) What an amazing job!
LOVE THIS. One of the best before and afters I've ever seen. Seriously.
it is very interesting, how much does it cost to do so incredible changes?
That's amazing! Now anyone would be proud to call that their home
