Tiny

A teeny tiny apartment in Pohořelec in the Castle area of Prague by A1 Architects. A mere 57 square meters in a 19th century building. Designed as a long term rental (and hence I'm assuming its somewhat spartan decoration) it offers clever ideas for small space living. By incorporating the kitchen into the hallway and opening it through to the combined dining living area the space seems larger than it is. Love the splash of lime green adding life to an otherwise white canvas.

I love the splash of green and the kitchen! I am also happy to see some sliding doors - always wonderful space savers! However, I am not a big fan of the change of flooring between kitchen and living though (to me, it breaks the sense of continuity between the two spaces). Not keen on the carpetted floors in the office nook either. It doesn't add much to the space and, in my eyes, it doesn't fit really well with the square patterns of the sliding doors or with the vertical lines created by what I guess is a heater. And 57 square meters is not that teeny tiny... In Paris, it is roughly the average apartment size for a family of 4 ;) But overall, I quite like this post and the serene, neat feel this apartment has.

I agree with Nelly, this apartment is not so tiny. Until just recently, we have lived on 48 m2 (a family of four) and it was not as crowded as you'd think. Love the green tiles though! :-)

I'm surprised at this is around the average apartment size in Paris, but love the way that a space so small has been treated. It's nice to see what's possible in a realistic space, rather than a millionaire's apartment!

I actually do like the carpet in the study space. I think it warms up a cold area by the window, and creates a division between home and office.

Is the hanging light in the first picture made from scrub pads? It's quite lovely.

Great design! The floors, built in storage, and dedicated office space - fantastic! Only. What a bummer: the green bathroom. It looks so pretty, but a green bathroom makes a person look hideous. A woman trying to do makeup in that room would throw herself out the pretty window in despair! What a shame to commit the room to all that green tile.

agreed with nelly - both on the lack of flooring continuity and the not so teeny tiny. my husband and i lived in a place only one sq. metre larger and felt we had all the space we needed.
what a lovely space, though. feels refreshing and light. love the green bathroom, although it is true - the lighting might not be the most flattering. still, that would just mean that one would leave the apartment and be constantly surprised by how good one looked!

Stunning use of space...love color palette.

I would love to live in this space. Even though is it a small space, the floor plan is very open and the white and green color palette give a fresh, clean feel. The dark flooring is beautiful! I agree with Nelly, I am not a fan of the carpet in the study, but like the idea of a little carpet to warm up the space a bit!

613 square feet is not "teeny tiny". Maybe Jo is used to palatial. I live with my husband and 3 cats in 700 sq. ft.

Great use of space in this home with the sliding doors, fresh white and green color palette and wood floors. Well done.

That scrubbing pad lamp fixture is the best.

I love all the thoughtful touches: clean palette, the light wells up in the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom, the study. My husband and I lived for six years in 690 square feet and it was blissful!

I would love to live in this space! Gorgeous, feels spacious in terms of decor, but the size would make it cosy enough. I'm swooning.

What a nice uncluttered space - that would not fly at my house!

It's perfect! I could easily live there. I especially love the little office nook off the bedroom.

(Excuse me, I have some problems to write or speak in English. I'm from Spain). It's a nice space but my cuestion it's always the same. where do you save the things? I need a lot of cabinets to save some things. the colors are perfects. I have to learn a lot. Someday, I have to send some photos of my apartament because I need help to improve my house

I really like the lights hanging from the tree limb and how it is finished in white.

So many excellent ideas for a small space: the long low cabinets, the partitioned study, the flow-around kitchen/dining bench. As any small apartment owner knows bench space is king!

Love the space. Now need to go figure out how to recreate the branch light over the dining nook. hmmmm...
