Extreme penny tiles

Mina of the blog La Résidence! wanted to share with us her newly renovated white penny tile bathroom. I don't think I've ever seen so much penny tile in my life...and I freaking LOVE it! I cannot wait to get my hands on some when I get to redo one of my bathrooms. Anyhoo, they were so clever with space planning - with alot of plumbing going on in the walls they hid it all by building a shower bench, which has all the plumbing running above and below it. They also built 3 niches to store all sorts of bathroom necessities like towels and shampoo, and a 'shower tower' which had to double as a water barrier since they did not want to add a shower curtain or glass door. It's fantastic. Kudos Mina for all the hard work that went into this FAB bathroom!

And a couple before photos...

Uh...no. It feels like you're surrounded by white bubble wrap...or in a padded room. Sorta creepy.

I love this look. The SAX Hotel in Prague has the same penny tiles (floors, walls & ceilings too) in their lobby bathroom. It feels both futuristic and 1960's.

I would hate to be the one that cleans all of that...especially if it is used daily, or by kids! yikes! but also very fun.

I wouldn't mind cleaning it, if it were my bathroom! Looks cool.

Love the look!!!! No cleaning of stains on glass.
Just gives it a very solid feeling. No gimmicks you do not need in a bathroom

Grout. ODL. All it takes is one unsealed seam... no, no, no I will not live with a grout brush glued to my hand...

It looks very similar to a lino that I have on my floor, easier to clean with no grout. Just wipe it over.

I'm blown away....I think it's amazing. I think it would be easy to maintain if the proper steps were taken upon completion. EXCELLENT job!

Hiya. We used an epoxy grout for our penny tile bathroom. It's a premixed urethane grout, which never needs to be sealed. Doesn't stain. And it's easy to clean. Cheers, Mina.
