Bruce Stafford
Bruce Stafford Architects. Clean contemporary Australian style (although Bruce himself is originally from South Africa and responsible for that dream boutique African hotel Singita). Minimal but still sensual and always in tune with how a family leads a modern life. Inside flows freely to the out and public spaces are just as much about decks and pools as living rooms and kitchens. Garden glimpses through unexpected window placement. Celebrations of sloping sites and rough hewn rock walls. It's light, bright, open yet private. (More after the jump.)

wow ... what an amazing house ... also the kitchen is great
lovely home. love the outdoor space and the way that it just spills out of the house.
W0w. Just, holy wow.
wow, love these places
Amazing house! Mixing nice materials, art and architecture. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful and serene.
time to build a railing around the roof in that top photo! the potential for rooftop parties overlooking the rest of the home is insane.
The designs by Bruce Stafford remind me of a lot of designs that are very popular in Japan. Japanese designers must have been inspired by his style or his genre. I love the way he uses the space which allows the air to flow from room to room. Very refreshing. I also love the way he uses the windows. There is nothing better than natural light in a house.
great post. love everything about these homes and this architect. heading off now to have a longer look at his site. thanks SO much for showing these. (-: Linda
