Lovely light

It's almost the weekend. I couldn't imagine a better place to spend some quiet me time than curled up with a book (and some crumpets) in this beautiful London studio. Just enough period features, lots of faded white and gorgeous gorgeous light. Time to put the kettle on. Join me? Another stunning Light Location.

Oh, dear. The architecture says something is possible, but honestly -- while the bits and pieces are interesting, they don't resolve into any statement. The two sitting areas in particular are unfortunate, bumping into each other without flow or even differentiation. The darkness in the second sitting area, which could have been used to offer a bit of mystery in the midst of the referenced light, is merely somewhere to stash objects and seating that don't work. The blank wall above the fireplace really says it all.

I adore this website, and most of what I find on it -- I follow the links you provide happily. But a poor interior cannot be ID'd as anything better.

I agree with the above comment, it looks all cluttered! I do like the lightness of it though - pretty!

I like it. I think though if it was photographed better, you know tighter vignettes, more styled it would look so much better. I don't think anyone could argue that those windows are too pretty damn special.

I like it, too! It is a real home not a showroom! I would be happy if my home looked like this..

Love the sun-drenched rooms. Love the chandelier and the neutral, peaceful spaces.

It's a Moroccan Wedding Blanket on the bed.

The mantles and wall shelves need to be revised. If those were cleaner and more streamlined (less junk piled on them) it would make the entire place look less cluttered. And, some gentle re-arranging of furniture would assist as well.

that is a really interesting bay window, it's taking me a while to get used to the unfinished look but i'm intrigued by it.

i love it. it speaks well of whoever lives there. there is simply no reason for a person to style and vignette their own home. if how she lives is good enough for her, it's good enough for me.

Absolutely gorgeous I wouldn't change a thing in this apartment, London has got some amazing buildings full of tall windows and features. I LOVE it.

I think it's absolutely GORGEOUS! I suppose my only comment would be that as there are two quite large living room areas I might have been tempted to make the kitchen area a bit bigger. And where does she keep her clothes?! Completely stunning though - so light, and homely and relaxing looking.
