i didn't realize black walls could create such a versatile backdrop. would never had thought to add so much color, as in the marie claire maison pic.

I have been fantasizing about black walls for a couple of months now. I just convinced a client to use them in their kitchen...I have been trying to justify redoing one of the rooms in our house so that i can use them on our house too. Thank you for the inspiration.
I feel I should like this idea, but I'm sure I'd find black walls depressing on a permanent basis :(

this settles it! I have been wanting a black wall in my house and I must do it now, these are fabulous rooms!
love the House To Home chandelier over the bath. i wanted to do that with ours when we moved in, even went as far as purchasing the chandelier, but my husband said that it was too dangerous having it over a tub - that i'd electrocute myself. grrr. chandelier is sitting in my attic waiting for my father to help me install it in my little library/office room instead.
