White sand

Just north of Brisbane is a favourite weekend haunt, the gorgeous Sunshine Coast. Here the whitest sand meets blue sea and the light is just as white as the sand. So when I found this house (at Sunshine Beach) while real estate stalking I knew it was a perfect interpretation of the coastal resort in which it is found. With glimpses of the sea and a canopy of lush palms and bushland shading it from the bright white light it's cool and inviting.

What a beautiful house - although all the white would drive me a little bonkers. In such a gorgeous setting I'm kind of surprised not to see any natural wood besides the decking.

Love the paired down modern simplicity...but a touch of texture or history could be interesting...

It's almost shabby chic minimalism if there is such a thing :)
