Phorm

Steven Stewart and Ian Wrightson are co-directors of PHORM Interiors, an interior design firm located in Red Hill, Brisbane. With studio out front, the pair's home behind the shop is cool, funky and pulsing with a modern vibe in an old colonial building. I could easily have titled this "I want to live here". Love their portfolio and equally love their blog where they showcase their work, their fav design pieces and fabulous finds. Design is alive and blossoming in Brisbane and PHORM is at the forefront.

Does anybody know the manufacturer of the sofa in photo 1? It looks like it has one long cushion which I love, rounded arms, bent metal legs... I haven't come across anything quite like it.

I love the painting of the horse with the big head. The chest below it is as ugly as hell, but the horse is cool.

Blandwagon you never mince your words do you! Sorry about the pun as I'm sure "mince" is an anathema to someone who has a cow as an icon. I agree about the painting though. Stunning!

Ian and Steven emailed me to thank you all for your kind words. Hard not to say nice things about your work guys when it's this great! They also had some answers to questions raised.
For Jen who asked about the sofa - it is part of a collection from Tait Furniture in Melbourne, Australia.
The horse painting is from Karlee Rawkins, the 2003 recipient of the Brett Whitely Scholarship. Her works can be viewed here.
