Designer's holiday snaps

This week Gaile Guevara sent us links to her recent holiday in New York. Strolling New York's streets, discovering the beauty of the MOMA. Those of you who don't know this Vancouver interior designer are in for a treat when you drop by her blog. If modernism and it's partner in crime minimalism are your thing then Gaile's blog will have you drooling. Thanks for the snaps Gaile.

Great photos Gaile! Thanks for letting us post them. Love the 2 art wall ones, especially the framed black art. What a great idea for simple art with a dramatic effect.

Fantastic! Brings back memories of two weeks ago when I strolled through that same exhibit at MOMA (but, not so fashionably). There was also an indoor exhibit by the same artist, Richard Serra, and I was chastised by the guards as I sneaked taking photos around the bends of the exhibit with my iphone.

AWW - thanks Kim and JO for the post! ... one day, I hope I get to meet the 2 of you ... the MOMA is my favorite, the restaurants are yummy choices too. I tried to best capture my trip with my new love of photography ... nothing like walking through the real thing though, the sculptures of Richard Serra is truly amazing. Hope my next trip in October, you can both send me a style find as subject matter for me to do a photography study ... thanks again, I'm so happy to be back to blogging again.

cheers and smiles your way, hope it's warmer there ... the fall weather has creeped up fast.
