Retro yellow
I bought a great book today from my friend's retro store. I'm a sucker for 60s and 70s interior books. "How to Make your Windows Beautiful" A Kirsch Publication Vol IV 1972. Seeing that yellow has been a favourite around here I thought I'd share a few images from this treasure.

Only in the 60's and 70's could you get away with something like this. These are a riot! (and making me somewhat nauseous)
This is so funny. I was recently trying to decide whether or not to order a chair/ottoman set in a pale cream color. I nervously asked my husband "But what if I spill mustard on it?" He laughed because I rarely even eat mustard, why would I be eating some giant sandwich with a looming blob of mustard on this chair.
All of these rooms look very mustard safe!
i'm loving the bright yellow. . .but i sure hope that kelly green carpet doesn't make a comeback!
I love this color right nowl. Inf fact, just DYED the linen drapes in my dining room saffron! Truth be told, it frightened me a little at first but now I adore it...the rest of the room is very neutral so it works! Kindof like an Indian marigold garland...
i have been on a huge vintage design book kick. i need to be cut off from alibris!
Neece love to see a photo of those saffron curtains! I feel your pain frances :)
Now there's a cool idea - match your couch to your wallpaper! I feel like I'm in the middle of an egg yolk.
ohh, love the retro yellow style!!
fabulous book!!
God I had a yellow and green room as akid. Hated it. Covered it in posters. Now I'm kinda drawn to it. Weird.
