Jane Cumberbatch

Jane Cumberbatch was once a decorating editor of British House & Garden magazine, style director on leading publications including Elle Decoration, and has now taken on a philosophy of simple living, and written several books on the subject. Her website, Pure Style, includes some beautiful photos that are summed up in this "DNA of Pure Style: Romantic, inexpensive, natural, simple spaces, functional, easy feasts, homemade, thrifty, timeless, cool, country, family, going green, modern..." These photos really make me want to declutter, and whip out a can of white paint...

These are perfect pictures to show that white can be clean, comforting, and welcoming. Not sterile and cold like so many pictures show.

If I could, I'd have two houses: one would be like these photographs, and the other would be full of color. It's just so hard to choose!

These are brilliant interiors. I just chanced upon your site and I loved it. In fact, I added it to my links. My site is not about designs but I do have one post about it, and just like anybody else, I love beautiful things.
