Sound of Lions update!

Big news! One of my favourite bands (whose drummer Marco happens to live next door) Sound of Lions has a new song and video out! Marco just emailed me with a SoundCloud link and YouTube link to their new song/video called Storm Chasers.  It's awesome, no surprise there. Check it out!

A bit of info: The video was produced by Studio Tree, a local multi-media company, which specializes in video production. Studio Tree is owned and operated by Christian Awad, who is also the DJ/Emcee in the band. “Storm Chasers” was engineered and produced by Jason Fee. The song was mastered at Conduction Mastering. The band developed the video concept themselves, and asked a select group of local artists to help execute the idea. The video features the band members and tells the story of a complicated relationship between two lovers. The story is meant to be obscure, allowing the viewer to draw their own conclusions about the nature of the relationship, and its demise. Sound of Lions performs this Saturday at Zaphod Beeblebrox in the Byward Market, with special guests Ba’be (Toronto). Doors at 8:00pm, tickets are 7$, available in advance from The Record Shaap and Vertigo Records, and also online at Ticketmaster.

Yes, that is a photo of yours truly, from my other blog closetrivalry....in case you didn't know about it. I'm shamelessly plugging it again because I share that blog with my younger sister Jen. The story is Jen had a kid almost 2 years ago, is hoping to get another bun in the oven any time now, and has recently decided not to go back to work. I would LOVE to get us some more visitors over there because it would be awesome if it could bring in a bit of income for my little sis. Sidedoor

Val, a friend of mine from work, gave me a gift card to a restaurant in the Byward Market called Sidedoor that has an "Asian Fusion" type menu. It was VERY good. Here's what we ate, and we almost needed someone to roll us out the door when we were done. (Thanks Val!)
