Sat, 8 Dec 2012 1 Comment The other night my husband and I went to Highjinx, a thrift store on Somerset St. that I've walked by twice a day since it opened (a year ago?). I found out I should have stopped in long ago, because they are a non-profit shop, where all revenues go towards housing the homeless in Ottawa. How cool is that?! My husband found out they had some vintage radios he wanted for a project (more on that another time), so he ended up getting one, and I got this SWEET old Pepsi-Cola wooden crate (OMG the weight of it, the patina...*SIGH*) and a cute little flashlight on a stand (OOPS - forgot to dust it off before snapping this pic).
Today the hubby and I did a little tour of some towns west of Ottawa, and all I managed to find (which was OK because I was Christmas shopping) was this cute old portrait of what looks like some sort of team for $1.50.
