Latest shoe obsession

Lookout Jeffrey Campbell, I've got a new man in my life, and his name is John Fluevog. My love for John Fluevog shoes started many years ago when my twin sister and I used to visit our aunt in Toronto a couple times a year and she would take us shopping on Queen Street where I always insisted we check out the Fluevog store. Fluevog footwear is often fairly quirky, which is probably why I love them so much, as I am often drawn to anything a bit out of the ordinary. Their signature is a flared heel, and they seem to have a thing for button detailing too. I discovered a store right around the corner from my house that seems to be the only shop in Ottawa to carry them, but I haven't been there yet (maybe I'll spare a few minutes today). One of my favourite Canadian online shoe stores, Gravity Pope, also carries them. Anyhoo, after devouring the Fluevog website, I came across these beauties that I fell in love with...

Kim, very cool boots and shoes! I like the quirky ones.

Have you checked out mooshoes.com? I think you would find a lot of shoes and boots that would look awesome on you. They are reasonably priced and you might like that they are vegan, too.

Check out their website and let me know!

Cool shop Sue!
Thing is I am boycotting buying anything online from the States because I am sick of paying ridiculous duty/taxes/handling fees on top of the store's shipping charges.

Hi Kim

This is a late reply to an old post, I know, but I wonder whether you've found Trippen yet. It strikes me that if you like JF you might also like Trippen. They are crazy expensive too, but whacky and mind-bogglingly comfortable. I have quite a few pairs of their boots and shoes now and they've pretty much spoilt me for anything else - I put a different make of shoe on and it feels like strapping myself into wooden bondage. Which might be fun, but it's not great in the comfort stakes.

PP

I have seen Trippen shoes at one of the online shops I check regularly. I never really gave them much thought - maybe because of the prices. Good to know they are that comfy. Maybe one of these days I'll give them a try. Thx PP!
