Thu, 15 Sep 2011 8 Comments About a month ago my twin sister and I carted a crapload of stuff over to our parent's house and all of us had a big garage sale. It was a complete bust. Unfortunately my husband forgot to put up ads online so all we had were a few signs on the road. I think we sold $50. We're attempting another garage sale this Saturday from 8-2 so anyone in the Ottawa area MUST come out and BUY MY CRAP! I'm selling just about everything I own as I'm tired of it all and am going a completely different route whenever the house gets done and we can redecorate. (On a side note, here is a little sample of how disastrous this whole project has been going. We received an email yesterday morning, about 6 weeks after our plans were submitted to the city for permits, that because our house is approx. 100 ft from the highway, our project requires approval from the Ministry of Transportation. WTF?!?!) Alot of the items are still in my parents' garage, and I have a bunch of stuff buried in my basement that I also would part with. Here is a sampling...

I'll take the white cane chair with the lime zebra pillow, the gorgeous black lumbar pillow with the vibrant stitching and poms, the Chinese dog book ends and cane settee with the velvet upholstry! Do you ship to the Yukon?! Good luck on your sale, I wish I lived much, much closer.
I checked out your house expansion photostream (after checking out the other items in your sale that I will not be able to purchase...) Your preferred architecture style reminds me of a local architect's firm, a little far from you, but their website may offer some inspiration for your renovation.

omg -- there is SO much I want (tho don't know that I can justify...) you're selling all the west german pottery??? (or just the table it's sitting on?) also i presume the cats come with that rug haha
I put up that photo because of the table. My WG pottery collection is currently on display at my sister's house, but I told her if I could sell some/all of it she'd be SOL. If you're interested in some (there is more than what's in that photo) check around my Flickr and lemme know!
I'd consider rolling up a cat (or 2) in the rug for easy take-home. (LOL)

Did you sell that bench with the cats on it? If not, I would love to buy it...email me! I live in Orleans so not too far wish I knew about this sooner...
Do you still have the Buddha head? We had one buried in our front garden and it was STOLEN last year! I've been looking to replace it.
