On rotation

The music on the Rose Uniacke video was "On the Nature of Daylight" by Max Richter and I love it. I have a thing for melancholy music particularly on a Saturday afternoon when I'm working on the computer and diner is slowly cooking in the oven. I daydream and type and disappear down rabbit holes on the interwebs. It's not all melancholia though. Remember I was an eighties club girl so any gay anthem is on repeat as well. Yesterday it was Pet Shop Boys.

I've also been delving into Ólafur Arnalds' work ever since I got hooked on it from the first series of Broadchurch. (British definitely not the American version.) The vocals by Arnór Dan are haunting in that heavy metal, falsetto, slow ballad, slit my wrists way. I'm loving anything Icelandic at the moment. The visuals in this first video leave much to be desired but it does have the lyrics.
