Got my eye ball on you
While we are waiting for the house contract to go unconditional I'm filling my time with the usual activities ... thrifting, secondhand shops and ebay. Just won these cool vintage eyeball table lamps for a bargain price. (Photos are from the seller's site.) Great I thought. I have had a couple of these over the years and thought this pair would be great as bedside lamps. I have, of course, had the small versions, no more than 30cm high. These are huge. 70cm. Who was the dumb bunny who didn't read the dimensions on ebay? I never do. What a pleasant surprise when I realised my mistake. I love them and they will be perfect either side of the bed. Thinking I might have them sprayed another colour but I'll wait till we move in. I have a suzani in earthy tones for a bedspread and the beige might just be OK.

Great find! And they're HUGE!!!
Jo, love the super-duper lights. You're going to have a very funky 1860s house! xx
Hey Jo...Love the pics of your street below. So refreshing that there is not new houses squeezed in amongst these grand old girls as there is around me. It looks like a street in Maryborough. Love the lights. They look in amazing nic. Great job on the trestle style table too by the way. What a productive break you had, cheers Katherine
There is one post war two doors up but I think that's it. The house below us was badly bastardised in the 60s but the young owners are working towards rectifying that. I'm pretty pleased with the trestle table. Lots of waxing on that one! Saw the one you have on ebay. Shame I don't need two :) Can't wait until I get the keys to the house then the both of you are in for the guided tour!
I have eyeball envy.
These are great !!!
The color is perfect...please don't paint them! I've got kind of the same model but in a much smaller version, chromed. They make such wonderful bedside lights.
