This Healdsburg, CA home is a family compound that was once stuck in the 80's. Jeff Schlarb's team took it to a whole other level, with cool, neutral tones, classic style with some traditional and bold furnishings mixed together for a little unexpected combo, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The perfect getaway with really sweet views.
Happy almost 150th birthday Canada! Preparations are well underway here in Ottawa for the biggest party of maybe the century and I will be one of the few federal government employees venturing to work today (we've been told to work from home given all of the road closures and general chaos). And on that note, I figured today was the perfect day to feature the work of a fellow Canadian. Peter Wilds' spaces have been showcased here before several times (like here, here, here, here and here) but we haven't shared this beauty yet. He calls it "Distilled Luxury". Elegance and simplicity in white. Simply gorgeous.
Modern living in a house that is almost 300 years old. Living simply, living well but not excessively, respecting the past, embracing the moment, finding the beauty not only in the unusual but also the mundane. Give me this type of luxury any day. Give me this lovely home by Kelly and Co. Design.
Hello my name is Jo and I'm a Brit-style kitchen addict and deVOL is my drug of choice. OMG I love it all. The simple country style with no overhead cupboards, the pantry and concealed fridge, the different colour on the island and all the brass. It's modern, it's traditional, it's country chic.
Don't get me wrong. I love the styling of this house in Melbourne's waterside suburb of Brighton. I just think a lot of those plants would soon die if I was responsible for watering them on a regular basis. Link here while it lasts.
