Freunde von Freunden

A big thanks to reader Lilian for sending us the link to a German website which is going to be a new favourite regular stop of mine. It's called Freunde von Freunden and it's a spitting image of Todd Selby's The Selby, featuring glances into the homes and workspaces of creative people. I devoured the site and selected a bunch of photos that really intrigued me. Have a look (and more after the jump):

TGIF

Happy Friday everyone! I've got a busy weekend ahead filled with errands, chores around the house and other boring stuff. Hope you all have better things planned. :) Thought I'd share some more photos from the fabulous French site du côté de chez vous (previous post here). FYI: They have lots of great small space solutions (some photos included below) for those of you who have emailed us begging for help in that area.

Right royal oak

It's not often that I am excited by a supplier's website. Lots of close-ups of tile or timber but no juicy photos. That is until I stumbled across Royal Oak Floors by Harper & Sandilands. Swoon! Not only a stunning product but a gallery of work that leaves you breathless. Is there anything more beautiful than natural finishes like oak masterly installed? Harper & Sandilands, an Australian company determined to lead their niche market have worked with the best of the best Australian designers and architects. Think Carr Design,  Ellenberg Fraser, Atticus & Milo, BARstudio, B.E Architecture, Hecker Phelan & Guthrie, Leeton Pointon Architects and Woods Bagot to name a few. Head to the website to see more projects. I'm still lusting after a room just like these.

Branching out

A reader named Sarah emailed us recently asking that we branch out and post some non-US and non-Swedish content. I said no problem - but considering neither Jo nor I are American or Swedish, we don't go out specifically looking for content from those countries. That just seems to be what we happen upon on our random Google searches when looking for blog content. So when I asked Sarah if she knew of any sites we could refer to for the blog she suggested a site from Israel, bvd.co.il. I found tons of blog-worthy content (although I unfortuntely don't know Hebrew) so thank you Sarah! One home that was featured on the site really caught my eye. Turns out it has a bit of a Swedish/Scandinavian country vibe to it. LOL. It's SOOO pretty and is perfect decor for the cottage I wished I owned. White walls, gorgeous hardwood floors, big white squishy couches, small touches of pale colours...what's not to love? (Forget the interior...I was sold on the palm tree out front. We don't get those up here).

Lonny magazine

Weekends right before Christmas are always hectic. For me this past weekend was just that, filled with LOTS of baking, wrapping presents, having to go into work on Saturday, cleaning, laundry etc. etc. It's Sunday night as I am desperately trying to get everything done so I can sit on the couch for 5 freaking minutes. Which is why I wanted to do a simple second post for the day, so I decided to pick out my favourite photos from the first 2 issues of Lonny magazine - one of the coolest new sources for inspirational interiors.
