Classic spaces by VSP Interiors

Elegant and classic, timeless with subtle modern touches, Henriette von Stockhausen and Jane Petti of British design firm VSP Interiors are creating drama with mostly traditional spaces (add in the occasional modern kitchen). I adore this first living room - the wallpaper is gorgeous and with the layers of furnishings and accessories it's busy but the resulting space works and it's fabulously bold.

Bedroom eye candy

I am totally in love with this bedroom by Katie Leede. It is from a 2012 Hamptons showhouse and I am dying over the beautiful blue (what would you call this shade?), the graphic floral wallpaper, the upholstered sleigh bed, the shag rug, that incredible light fixture... YES PLEASE!!!

A Chelsea apartment designed as a gentleman's club

Everything British designer Hubert Zandberg touches turns to gold. I absolutely adore every interior design project this man has taken on. This one is no exception. This two-bedroom Chelsea apartment was renovated and designed to offer his out-of-town client a playful take on his own private gentleman's club for short stays and meetings. Drama as soon as you enter with bold wallpaper (used throughout) and large scale furnishings, then the masculine vibe and dark colours stand out throughout the rest of the apartment. It is really stunning.

A combination of some really gorgeous wallpapers, some beautiful jewel toned accent colours, a breathtaking art collection and some graphic patterned textiles make this London townhouse incredibly dynamic and playful. A total jem by the master (as it runs in the family) Ashley Hicks

A Park Avenue loft

I am a big fan of New York City-based interior design firm The New Design Project and was stoked to hear from them about this new project. This absolutely stunning loft is a dream and furnished impeccably, including a collection of lighting that is to die for. Fresh and serene, this is a Park Avenue loft with a decidedly downtown feel. The space is refined and elegant but modern and relaxed. Sculptural lighting, such as the Lariat 3 by Apparatus Studio and String Light by Michael Anastassiades, adds drama and emphasizes the high ceilings, whilst oversized artwork and bold textiles, such as the Diego rug by Eskayel, add color and depth.  Iconic mid-century pieces inspired by the designs of Hans Wegner, Poul Kjaerholm and Eero Saarinen, are paired with more contemporary custom millwork, such as the black and brass floating wall shelves, floating upholstered bench, and marble and black oak nightstands.  A curated collection of accessories in a mix of sizes, shapes and materials, completes the scheme.
