In another life I live in this fabulous house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. In another life that imposing living room with its Hans Wegner chaise and Serge Mouille lighting is mine. The chandeliers, the vintage finds, the deeply moody wood panelled den, the extravagant bathroom and that garden room, oh that garden room. In real life it belongs to Brigette Romanek who, along with Estee Stanley, is the creative force behind Hancock Design.
I think it's fair to say I'm not a matchy matchy sort of girl. I like my new mixed with old, my high with some low, my family heirlooms with some secondhand shop find. I like my rooms to look like they have been collected over time not picked out in one go at a big box store. There should be a touch of quirk, loads of personality and of course they should be stylish but not forced. Which is why I love this Beverly Hills home by Hancock Design.
Is it really working if your place of employment is a vineyard with a stylish cellar door? I don't think I'd have to worry about dragging myself in on a weekend if my job involved wine and a great looking work place. Hell they'd have to drag me out not in.
