Late summer in Sweden. Seamlessly connecting with sky and sea and rock. A summer house but definitely no shabby shack. Contemporary luxury. Ah the perfect escape. Kristiansand Summer House by New York and Oslo based Heiberg Cummings Design.
Heliotrope Architects are based in Seattle and these folks seem to really understand timeless modern design and have the ability to take full advantage of the beauty outdoors. When my house gets levelled it wants to come back as one of these. :)
Here is a little peek at the portfolio of San Francisco interior designer Rachel Blindauer. Funky, contemporary spaces that appeal to anyone looking for a bit of colour and pattern to spice up their life. (Check out her shop too - love the black & white striped lamp!)
There is something about photographer Tara Donne's work that reminds me of old masters' paintings. The composition, the lush light, the colours, oh the rich, rich colours. Perhaps the choice of subject matter. The beauty in the everyday, the drama of a vase of flowers. Inspiration comes from so many places.
Anthology Magazine is a favourite of mine. So good in fact I just ordered a subscription. :) Here are some spaces from past issues that are perfect doses of eye candy.
