The top pair of photos give me courage. Been scouting small vintage homes in the PNW and often the best ones have pine paneled walls and ceilings. I'm not a fan of so much wood but know to many it's a sacrilege to paint over. Leaving the ceilings and trim virgin but brightening the walls with white paint is a compromise I could easily live with. Nice to see the MCM pieces work with the clean, modest backdrop. That's for me.
