Modern living in a house that is almost 300 years old. Living simply, living well but not excessively, respecting the past, embracing the moment, finding the beauty not only in the unusual but also the mundane. Give me this type of luxury any day. Give me this lovely home by Kelly and Co. Design.
Is it just me or is this week d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g along? I just can't take anymore. Time for a virtual getaway and since summer has just begun in the northern hemisphere how about we run away to the Hamptons? To Shelter Island to be precise. I've booked us into the quaint but cool boutique inn The Chequit. Trad with a twist and a soothing pink, yellow and grey palette ... inside that is. The exterior screams summer in simple white and green, its porches filled with wicker furniture and pops of bright colour.
A little bit of traditional to end off the work week. This home designed by South Carolina/Alabama based Tammy Connor is exquisite, carefully curated yet inviting and that is the traditional I enjoy. I am trying to decide what I love more - that foyer with the painted mural or the dining spaces. I am dying over those upholstered dining chairs - would love to see them against a weathered harvest table. Yum!

I thought I would share a bit of Instagram love today with an account I have been following for a little time now. Robin Lucas @robinhlucas is a brilliant artist, designer and gardener whose traditional English home is absolutely breathtaking. Add in his gorgeous flower arrangements and I can hardly breathe. He's a must follow. XOXOXO
