Garrison Hullinger

Garrison Hullinger designs interiors of some pretty spectacular homes homes (they're located in Oregon but the homes featured here are in New Canaan, CT, Battleground, WA and Portland, OR). The type of homes you dream about, that you see in movies and say "yes, one day I will live in a house like that, a house with SPACE". These kitchens are to absolutely die for. I cannot imagine having that many cabinets. I have never had a kitchen I would consider large. Yes, I dream of large kitchens.
P.S. Sorry, no pets on furniture post this week. If you have submissions please send them to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net.

Transitional traditional

Here is another project by Rethink Design Studio I wanted to share. This is definitively leaning towards traditional with a really soothing colour palette. And the fact that I don't mind such a traditional space means this group of designers really know their stuff and can appeal to a broad range of tastes. Kudos to that. And kudos on the use of that glorious tufted chaise in the bedroom.

Traditional with an edge

Jo featured a really lovely beachy pad several months back by Georgia-based interior designers Rethink Design Studio and today I bring you some more projects by this super talented team. This is a home for a family of four was once traditional and is now edgy with a mid-century vibe. I love that they took such a classic-detailed home and brought it into this decade. I bet the kids are proud to bring their friends home now! (They should consider a kitchen redo though - bleh).

Classic Jenny Wolf

Though I am still not over the gloriousness of the loft in my previous post, here is another project by Jenny Wolf that proves this designer can whip up just about anything and make it fresh and hip. Even when you're using granny's chair (above). This apartment is fairly traditional and classic, yet she manages to keep it cool. Very impressive.

A little country

We don't post many traditional/country spaces here, I mostly don't because I am generally not a fan. But these spaces designed by Montreal interior designer Scott Yetman are an exception. I really enjoy these tranquil, liveable designs and their neutral colour palettes. There just needs to be a dog and some cats curled up in front of the fireplace and a cup of hot apple cider in my hand and LE SIGH.
