Regent's Park Grand House

I do not necessarily gravitate towards glamourous, "fancy schmancy" decor but I absolutely adore anything that Hubert Zandberg Interiors gets their hands on so today I bring you fancy schmancy home in Regent's Park, London. I am not sure I would feel comfortable showing up at this home in my Ann D combat boots and putting my feet up on anything but if you're going to go all out and have the funds to do so, then THIS IS IT. I would just be happy with that crystal chandelier in the foyer.

Ssshhh ...

It's quiet here. The kids and their dad are off doing those weekend autumn sports that guarantee muddy boot prints on old tiles on return. The light is soft and the peace is palpable. The tick tock of a mantle clock, the crack of well seasoned log in the fireplace. I've been tinkering with recipe books and pots and pans but my hearts not in it. Instead I think I'll nestle in with those magazines I haven't had a chance to read. Ssshhh ... I'm daydreaming. This is my country house. A Grade II listed 17th Century farmhouse with Victorian editions in Hertfordshire, England via jj Locations. Don't you know that everything old is new again?

Still stalking

I'm arranging an inspection. Who wants to come? We can open the wardrobes, rifle through the drawers when the agent isn't looking, find out who lives here. Then we can assume their lives and their house. That's what stalkers do don't they? No no no. Just kidding. That's creepy. I would love to meet whoever owns this lovely home though. Great taste. Link here while it lasts.

A new traditionalist

Like a rakish bad boy holding court, modern statement pieces spice up the elegant, traditional rooms in New York interior designer Caleb Anderson's portfolio. His sophisticated spaces pay homage to the past always with an eye to the future. It's about drama, contrast and luxe salon style living. The richness comes from layering of texture and materials often with a bold colour accent taking the design to the next level.

Douglas Mackie

London based interior designer Douglas Mackie does not follow rules. In fact, it seems he likes to break them. His mostly traditional spaces are filled with antiques yet there are modern surprises in furnishings and artwork. This melange of styles keeps the spaces from being too stuffy and classic, and his selection of beautiful rich colours and textures adds to the sophisticated look. British without the boring. :)
