London based Charles Tashima Architecture is all about creating functional spaces without alot of fuss. I'm dying a little over all the tumbling block tile, and nice to see lots of reclaimed and original wood. Great bones for some sweet decor.
"Why, oh why, have two dining tables so close to each other?" we hear readers lament on occasion on the blog. "It's a bit pretentious." "They will never use them." "It's all for show." Well not in this kitchen. They're for table tennis. (And large dinner parties and for the 14 children they have. Just kidding.) Wonderful kitchen. Wonderful home in Battersea, London via Airspace Locations.
Someone really, really, really likes Albert Einstein. What I really like are the stairs, that floor level window in the living room and the lap pool that stretches from the front yard to the back under the bridge-like entrance hall. I'm stalking in Brighton in Melbourne. Link here while it lasts.
I would give anything to have a statement staircase in my home. Something with the wow factor. I'm thinking that the owners of this Point Piper, Sydney home might just be a little greedy. They have two! And a view to die for! And two floors of books! Their dreams made true by Pearse Architects.
