Stalking in the gritty city

Urban cool just got smoking hot. I'm stalking in my favourite inner city Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy and there is so much to love. It's a bijou brick worker's terrace with exposed stone walls. The renovation was by one of Australia's leading interior design firms Hecker Guthrie and it's as stylishly gritty and hip as its location. Don't miss the video. The soundtrack is on fleek like the whole sales campaign and it's fun to spot the differences between what are obviously the designers' styled portfolio shots and how the house actually looks. Stalking leftovers

Hello my name is Jo and I'm a real estate addict. I stalk listings hoping to find the perfect property I can't afford anyway. Oh well a girl can dream. There is one problem though. I'm fussy. Not quite right, love the bones but ditch the furniture, bad photos, I need more photos please! Can't quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding "yes". This week I've found my usual old houses with expansive extensions, a little stone cottage with a new lease on life, incredible views over Bondi Beach, weird posturing, hip inner city pads, even a reader's home. Reader's home: Jen's cozy remodel in Vermont (for sale!)

I have dreams of one day living on lots of land and having lots of animals and enjoying lots of space and sounds of nature. Maybe I should buy reader Jen's home now for sale in Vermont! You might remember me from this post? Anyways…We sold that house the day the sign went up in the yard. We left Texas and have spent the last 5 years in Vermont, transforming a 1978 gambrel into something I think is pretty cool (think blue shag carpeting, blue trim, dark wood). Every surface has been touched and redone. We converted the attached garage to a funky apt with a sleeping loft with pods and have been renting it out on airbnb the last 2 years. We also added the garage/barn and I went bold and painted it black! This is such an amazing place to live but packing our bags for PA. Stalking

I'm stalking in the well-heeled Melbourne suburb of Toorak and what a home I have found. 1930's brick with 4 bedrooms, 3 bath and wonderful outdoor living and garden. Almost like living in a resort. Perhaps not quite my style (I'd like a bit more art deco, a touch less Hamptons) but hey I wouldn't say no if one of you bought it for me. Link here while it lasts.
