Another project by Lucyna

Polish interior designer Lucyna Kołodziejska has been somewhat of a regular on DTI, sharing with us all kinds of fun, modern designs for mostly small apartments. This home isn't so small but decorated in typical Lucyna fashion - funky lighting, bold colour palette, murals and graphic wallpapers. And it's got a matching kitty. BONUS!

Movin' on up

Ditch the garish bubble gum pink townhouse. You movin' on up. Dollhouses scandi style or should I say Polish style. The perfect minimalist pad for anyone who is 1:6 scale. That's you Barbie or you Yasmin, Cloe, Jade and Sasha or you Blythe. You too if your child is clambering for a dollhouse and you just can't bring yourself to let anymore pink plastic into your place. Miniko by Miniio.

P.S. What's up with Barbie in pic 3? ;)

Beam&Block House

The folks at Polish architecture firm mode:lina sent over their latest completed project. It's 140 sq m, and the clients are fans of Scandinavian style so they requested concrete and wood, with lots of white, and dark grey and yellow. They also wanted lots of storage while maximizing space so all doors are sliding, and the dog gets a spot to nap under the stairs. The clients also requested a fireplace and a TV that didn't stand out, so dark walls help to hide these features. (Not sure why you would want to hide a fireplace). I have to mention how cool the concrete stairs with wooden treads look - seems to be an ongoing feature of a mode:lina property.

Lucyna's latest project

We've featured Polish interior designer Lucyna Kołodziejska's work a few times in the past (here, here and here), and she emailed recently with yet another fabulous small apartment she designed. This apartment is in Sopot, it is designed for rent, for weekends, for tourist that want to feel some atmosphere of old XIX town Sopot . It is in new building but me and my principal wants to get a climate of old town apartment. It have one bedroom and small bathroom, living room with open kitchen. We have there big photograph of Sopot pier by some Portugal (!) photographer who sold us this photo. In bathroom old morrocan tiles on the floor and photo of Baltic sea made by myself. The flat is 200 metres near the sea side.

Latest projects from 2Kul

Back in June Jo shared a funky shabby chic/scandi home by Polish interior design firm 2Kul. This firm is at it again, and this time they have taken on the design of 2 apartments in a country home just outside Wrocław, in their signature black/white/natural palette (my fav!) and modern/shabby/scandi style (again my fav!). So warm and cosy...and somewhat exotic. A great vibe.
