Down Mejico way

I was in Sydney for a couple of days this week. (Thanks Freedom! More of that to come.) Dinner was at Mejico, a new Mexican restaurant (doh!) with great food and a cool interior. The only thing louder than the fluoro pink and black walls was the noise of patrons having fun. 150 different tequilas. Hell yeah! Design by Juicy.

Tickled pink

My twin sister spent all of last weekend painting her living room (formerly an open concept living and dining room that was a bold chartreuse/acid green) a pale pink after lots of coaxing from me. I LOOOOVE pale pink as a wall colour. It's a bold (but not so bold) alternative to white or cream or grey. I have it in my bedroom and despite the space taking on several transformations since the pink hit the walls, it always works. As long as it's a subtle pink that is. (P.S. A tip - I couldn't find a pink that I thought was pale enough so I picked out the shade I liked - Benjamin Moore's Elephant Pink - and ended up having it mixed at 25% strength). It seems to work with any accent colours too but I especially love it with white and black. My next house will likely end up all white/black but I'm thinking pink needs to be somewhere. Anyway, I did a round up of some beautiful spaces in pale pink. Happy Friday!

In the pink

The new week has begun and plans are being hatched. So much going on but I'm in the pink. And who does the perfect pink? Why stylist Marcus Hay of course. Lovely lolly pink with a touch of retro and a twist of quirk. Happy smiley face pink.

Stalking South Yarra

I'm in Sydney for the trade fairs and I'm stalking in Melbourne. I could have arranged that a little. Perhaps I could have made it to an open for inspection if I had chosen a Sydney home. No instead I am in South Yarra in my virtual world. Pity I can't see this one in the flesh. So much is promised in the photos, so much unseen. A little snooping in person would be the only thing that could satisfy me. Link here while it lasts.
