Monday's pets on furniture

If you would like to participate in the Monday's pets on furniture series please send photos, your name, location and a brief description to kim[@]desiretoinspire[.]net. Thanks!

I'm starting today's post with an entry from one of my sisters. Carl is the most beautiful cat I have ever seen and he is super sweet and loveable. And super photogenic. Here are a couple photos of him hanging out in Jen's living room.

please find attached photo of our friend's Ivana dog - elegant Fred posing on their renovated vintage armchair.
- Maria (Prague)

Here is my dog Freddie, a wire fox terrier rescue, on vacation in Key West, Florida, last fall. He tossed the pillow off the chair (you can see it on the floor) and then made himself quite comfortable.
- Heather (Port Saint Lucie, Florida)

A big thanks to Wanda for sending me this photo the other day of the darling Desi, who I rescued a few years ago when my next door neighbour was dying of cancer and his family took all his cats to the Humane Society (where I imagine they met their fate) and Wanda then adopted from me.

My herd absolutely adores my new Furniture Maison sectional sofa.

Here's a photo of our new rescue dog Jimmy on our old rescue (and restored) Ercol armchair, which I found in a skip in a few years ago.
- Ellen (London)

Below is Zoe from Montreal. She's 2 and enjoys relaxing in her favorite chair while I'm at work. She a spoiled cat!!!
- Pat

Below, this is Chabal, with his peers !, in Sologne, France.
- Caroline

Here is Felix and his little shadow, Frankie (not so feral anymore) relaxing in the foyer on my leather Eames shell chair. (The flooring in there has since been redone - pics to come when all of the major work is done in a couple of weeks! If you follow me on Instagram there are some serious sneak peeks)

Bernie, also not so feral anymore, snoozing on my gorgeous Magnet lounge chair from Green Light District

Chez Noz

This is the home of San Francisco interior designer Noz Nozawa of Noz Design. Her focus is to create eclectically modern spaces and she certainly has done that here, with dark painted walls to easily add drama and some vintage furnishings for funkiness. Throw in that adorable Frenchie and you have got a pretty sweet pad here.

Monday's pets on furniture

If you would like to participate in the Monday's pets on furniture series please send photos, your name, location and a brief description to kim[@]desiretoinspire[.]net. Thanks!

Below is a photo of our rescue, Roxie, warming up by the fire on our George Nelson bench (with Hans Olsen fried egg chair in background).
- Aly

This is our Tonkinese 'Butch' as you can see he is loving our new Hans Wegner Shell chair
- Kathy (Toronto)

1 - Bella (aka The Fuzz). I had her from when she was a puppy up until when she passed away at 14. She was a sweet and shy dog but when she wanted for me to get up she would take a running jump and pounce on me in bed.
2 - Bruno. I adopted him in July of 2015 and he's about 10 now. He's quite big for a Husky and super fluffy. Don't let that sweet innocent look fool you. He's a firecracker when it's time to go anywhere - walks, car rides, Petco, you name it - he's Mr. Social.
- Ana (San Diego)

Here is my little girl. Her name is Bijou (13 yo) and she is sitting on my 60s Danish sofa. She loves the sun room. I am in the process of trying  to claim it back. Lol.
- Aaron (Nashville, TN)

Found this one my phone. Count the kitties.

Pepe, our rescue English Bull Terrier.
- Lari

This is Mouse. He's a four year old nebelung, grey, long-haired cat. We live in Somerville, Massachusetts, U.S. It's the town next to Cambridge and Harvard University. We love it here and Mouse loves an unmade bed, a patch of sunlight, and his cardboard ice cream truck.
- Pascale

(Kim: This entry almost made me cry. Mouse looks exactly like my Edgar, who passed away in 2013. He's at the end of this post. Ok now I am crying after finding that tribute post :( )

This is an obviously-posed photo of Dude on a chair. In September, 2014, he and his brother, Duke, were left in a cardboard box in front of a no-longer-in-business pet store. One month later, we found Ditto living under our front steps. Before we took each boy to Northwest Spay & Neuter, we took photos of his little nuts. Framed in dollar store frames, we've posted the photos low enough so they can see them on the way to the food dish. From left to right, Ditto, Duke, and Dude.
I do have a question about the chair. I bought four at auction. None have a maker's mark but one has a sticker on the bottom from an Italian moving company. I haven't seen a chair like this on the Internet. I'm sure they aren't Arne Jacobson's but by someone who was influenced by his designs.
