From screened verandahs to fireplaces to poolside lounging it has everything for large family gatherings by the sea. Bunks and slip-covered furniture, shingles and white washed timbers. It's a picture postcard American coastal getaway.

Working on a Saturday

As I say week after week, if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish. It doesn't get more stylish than La Porte Space's latest creative complex La Porte Deux with its event space, photographic studio, boutique short-term and long-term offices and a retail space in Sydney's Rosebery. Exquisite.

Bachelor pad

Not your ordinary bachelor pad in the Sydney suburb of Queenscliff by Jillian Dinkel Designs. Public areas in the renovated apartment are bright and light with a touch of retro cool while a more moody palette is just right for the bedroom. I'm loving the built-in seating in the small courtyard. Perfect for entertaining.

Stalking modern living in a historic home

I'm stalking one of my most favourite Australian homes. Colourful contemporary living within a beautiful Victorian era house in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra. You may recognise this design crush of mine. It's by Technē and I featured it back here.
