I am absolutely smitten with this home designed by Dutch interior designer Maaike van Diemen. It's what I'm all about - neutrals, lots of textures, funky lighting (OH YES Moooi Dear Ingo suspension lamp), raw wood, white marble, steel, wrinkly linen....so when can I move in???
There are the special little things in life that fill a slow rainy day (or a crazy busy day why won't it SLOW DOWN ... ooops sorry). Little things that make me happy. A good magazine is one of them. And Inside Out is a great magazine. I always get a wee bit over excited when an email from managing editor Lee Tran Lam is sitting in my box. Do we want to see a house? Yes please!
"It's from our new Jul/Aug issue and it's of a makeover of a Dutch farmhouse. The revamp included lots of upcycling – and in fact, the floor of the top storey is made of old cheeseboards! The styling is by Studio Viva Vida of The Netherlands and the photography is by Jean-Marc Wullschleger."
Yeah! There are even pictures that didn't make it into the magazine after the jump. Bonus! Aussie readers will of course be heading to the newsagents to pick up their copy out today. (That's if you don't already subscribe.) Don't fret if you aren't in Australia though because you can read along on Zinio, Google Play and the Apple Newsstand!
Marleen wrote us about a shop in the Netherlands called Dutch Design Year and while we try to stay away from blogging products, these shots are fantastic so I thought I'd break our rule this time because I love me a great photo! (P.S. I want this pendant lamp!)
Loving the portfolio of interior stylist and decorator from the Netherlands Erik Gutter. Kinda funky, not overdone, featuring classic Eames chairs, and there's even a couple of cats. What more do you need?
