How about a dose of modernism to make you want to de-clutter and enjoy some concrete? The Antokolsky penthouse by Pitsou Kedem Architect is pretty spectacular, and pretty freaking huge at 680 m². So not only can you do laps up and down its massively long corridor, you can then go take a dip in the rooftop pool and enjoy the views of Tel Aviv. My favourite touch is the Ingo Maurer Lucellino lights - a longtime favourite of mine.
New York architecture and design firm Turett Collabroative Architects take tired, decrepit, poorly planned structures and brings them into the new millenium - turning them into glorious dream homes. This post includes photos from several of their projects, including a client's desire for a helical slid to combine two penthouse condos.
Manifold Architecture Studio, based in New York, really knows how to make a space come alive with their creativity and innovative space planning. From lofts to small apartments, Philipp and Kit von Dalwig's designs are fairly simple yet super functional. They rocked that staircase in photo #4.
French expat Peggy Bels is bringing Parisian chic style to Hong Kong with her classy, contemporary interiors. She creates drama and a modern edge with neutral shades of black, white and grey and often with a flat finish (love!). Simple spaces yet super chic.
Montreal based interior design firm Gestion René Desjardins is all about sleek, modern spaces. It is clean lines but super comfy and loungey furnishings paired with some of the coolest photography art I have ever seen. (Love the bears!)
