Stalking in London

Whoa! Real estate in Sydney may be expensive but London prices are stratospheric. OK I admit this 3 bedroom loft apartment is in the Westbourne Terrace area of London but £2,850,000? Ouch! My sympathy goes out to all who must live in the British capital. Thank goodness I'm only virtually stalking and not actually looking for a place to call home. Love the quirky personality of this apartment. The art, the odds and ends. The bathrooms are cool and the glass floor scary. Link here while it lasts. Via Domus Nova.

Soho Loft

The romance of a New York loft. Large open spaces, exposed brick, massive columns holding up equally massive beams and the windows, oh the windows! This Soho loft by Drew McGukin Interiors is an eclectic mix of urban chic, vintage finds, industrial riffs and personal treasures. It's stylish yet relaxed and real.

A loft in Dumbo by Current Interiors

I am not super happy with my pale pink dining room walls. I had considered wallpaper but thought since my foyer that leads into the dining room is wallpapered that it would be too much pattern. Now I am regretting not going for it. This Dumbo, Brooklyn loft designed by Current Interiors has 3 different wallpapers happening and I think it looks fantastic!

Stalking concrete blocks

I'm in Collingwood an inner-city suburb of Melbourne and I'm stalking one half of an old concrete block warehouse. Inside it's soaring ceilings and white walls, black steel windows and open spaces. From the mix of mid century and contemporary furniture to the striking artwork it's the quintessential industrial meets modern living conversion. It appears that's it is being used as a commercial premises and I'm stratching my head as to where I'd put the bed . You must view the listing video and leave your critique of the acting in the comments. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. Stayed tuned for tomorrow's post on the other half of this building. A completely different take on the space.

A converted school canteen/science lab/art department

Oh, to have such a space where in one afternoon you can totally rearrange everything you own. The joys of living in lofts and conversions. This 1935 former school canteen/science lab/art department in the U.K. is an incredible space - 2,000 sq ft arranged over two floors, plus a 1,000 sq ft roof terrace featuring to-die-for steel windows throughout and equally to-die-for original pine herringbone flooring.
