Craving green

I look out at my garden and I see brown. A long dry winter without a hint of good rain and brutal frosts have seen my garden curl up its roots and almost give up. I cajole and threaten but spring is looking lorn at the new old house. For a little fantasy on a dry brown day I have turned to Sydney landscape designer Anthony Wyer. Because I am really tired of winter...

...and because I love the design of this backyard. Jared of topsy design just completed decorating and landscaping this patio in the Hollywood Hills (where they get to enjoy decent weather all year round). Casual and vintage loveliness.

Formal hedges, luscious green. Like cut and polished precious emeralds. Sparkling pool, stone and tile. Manicured loveliness in suburban Hurstville, Sydney. A magnificent urban oasis by foremost Australian landscape designer Paul Bangay.

Battersby Howat

I thought I'd end off the work week with a post similar to Jo's below, that is all about views. The Vancouver architecture, interior and landscape design firm of Battersby Howat knows how to take full advantage of views. Stunning!

DVA

I am so ridiculously sick of winter and though spring is slooooooowly arriving, I am craving warm weather, flip flops and a tan something fierce. I've had the following photos stashed for quite some time, and I think this is the perfect time to share them.

DVA is an architectural, landscape and interior design firm based in Mexico whose projects have taken them throughout Mexico, South America, France and the Caribbean. Such exotic and breathtaking designs....I can smell the sea and feel the sand between my toes.
