The kitchen love continues
Simple and beautifully made. Shouldn't that be our mantra for the pieces we live with in our homes? Like this collaboration between deVOL Kitchens and designer and wood man, Sebastian Cox. That black kitchen cabinet makes my heart sing. You can see more on the process over on my page.

Kitchen love
Kitchens are on my mind at the moment. My own is way overdue for a complete renovation. I'm drawn to these raw but beautifully crafted, rough but luxe kitchens by German-born, Italian-based designer Katrin Arens. Honesty, simplicity. Less is more. Reclaimed and re-used materials, rich with history and patina. Sigh.

A kitchen/dining nook makeover
Nothing says classic like a black and white kitchen - especially white uppers and black lower cabinets. Throw in a white marble countertop, gold pendants, faucets and hardware, some Tolix stools and a marble Saarinen tulip table and you have just about the best combination EVER. Bondi barn
With its simple elegance and sense of modest luxury this family home at Bondi is just about perfect. The layering of textures, the black and white contrast, the composure, the calm, a little dash of drama. This is modern Australian at its everyday best.
