Emotion vs reason

I've got an encore of Italian architecture and interior design firm UdA (previous project featured yesterday). It's a penthouse in UdA's typical modern aesthetic, with a bit of wood accents to add some warmth. Funky lighting and furnishings, a streamlined kitchen, and WOW how I love the bedroom photo! Add in a live plant wall on the massive outdoor patio and I could DEFINITIVELY live here!

Fun house

In keeping with my small homes theme today, check out this super creative 40 sq m holiday apartment in France designed by Italian firm Studio UdA. The design also met the client's request to have a spacious lounge area and two separate sleeping quarters, all with sea views. The reference to beach huts and self-built cabanas has led to the creation of lightweight structures inside the apartment; they are easy to assemble, relatively inexpensive and can also be set up according to the inhabitant's taste and whims, while constantly offering views towards the outside. This is really cool - and I love how the bedrooms can be left open or sealed off depending on their use. Fun colours too! (See more of UdA's work here)

Max Zambelli - darkness

Max Zambelli is an Italian photographer that, with his camera lens, can turn a fantastic space into a FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC space that exudes drama and makes you want to see more. The spaces he has captured are so gorgeous and original that I am in complete awe. What a lucky guy to have experienced them personally. Here are a selection of dark interiors from his repertoire.

P.S. Sorry, no pets on furniture post today. I didn't receive enough entries. :( But go on over to my page and check out my herd's new hangout!

Double dipping

I needed to dip back into the portfolio of Milan-based Studiopepe. Edgy, confident, passionate and rich. Inspiration aplenty in these retail installations. Enough to make me want to move in. Coveting is a sin right?
