An apartment in Paris...

Israel-based Ando Studio designed this apartment in Saint Germain, Paris last year. The team of architects, interior designers and CG artists specialize in 3D renderings. So this apartment is....or isn't.... Although either way it is freaking fantastic!

Archaic minimalism

The building in the old quarter of the port city of Jaffa, Israel is hundreds of years old but the living spaces are modern and minimalist. Much of the character had been removed by previous owners so architect Pitsou Kedem striped the walls and ceilings back to the beautiful, ancient stone before combining old with new. All with the spartan aesthetic common to the simple stone dwelling and the now minimalist modern interiors.

Antokolsky penthouse

How about a dose of modernism to make you want to de-clutter and enjoy some concrete? The Antokolsky penthouse by Pitsou Kedem Architect is pretty spectacular, and pretty freaking huge at 680 m². So not only can you do laps up and down its massively long corridor, you can then go take a dip in the rooftop pool and enjoy the views of Tel Aviv. My favourite touch is the Ingo Maurer Lucellino lights - a longtime favourite of mine.

House 'o concrete

This home, located in Tel Aviv, Israel and designed by Axelrod Architects is all about concrete. It's EVERYWHERE. A little too cold perhaps? I think so, but with some walls clad in wood and some wood flooring (I'd even welcome a bit of carpet) this is one sweet home. It may be cold and minimal but it's got ALOT of windows to keep things bright and warm. I love the long narrow window above the kitchen countertop, and the different levels of the home keep things interesting (love the floor #'s on the walls in case you weren't sure where you were).
