"Seaside Residence was a partial renovation of a grand Georgian home. Our clients have a young family with 2 boys. An active life by the coast is ideal for them, and they wanted a home that was calm, but filled with personality - something young and fresh, that still honoured the traditional architectural style of their heritage house."
Melbourne-based interior designer Sally Caroline opened up the floorplan and created a sophisticated, contemporary look with statement furniture pieces and a colour palette that references the seaside location with soft neutrals and splashes of blue.
It's like I say week after week ... if you have to drag yourself inro work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish. This week I'd have no problems doing overtime at these Liftopia offices by Katie Martinez Design.
Scandinavian and Belgian antiques sit comfortably with contemporary pieces. A muted colour palette is enhanced by texture and patina. Atmospheric, ephemeral, timeless, simply beautiful. Exquisite restraint and refined beauty define this elegant residence by Houston-based M Naeve.
I think this might be the first time in ten years that I have featured a pool table in a post. Not my favourite "piece of furniture" but I'm loving the retro meets cool meets Arts and Crafts pool room in this Bryn Mawr West house Tracy Hardenburg Designs. Once dark and dingy the home has been transformed into a light filled bright and brilliant family home.
