Steve Herud

I have not been this enthralled with a photographer who shoots commercial spaces in a long time, but Steve Herud is a genius when it comes to capturing funky restaurants, hotels and rental apartments. These spaces are gorgeous despite being commercial, and provide tons of inspiration for residential applications. (These photos include Hotel Superbude, Pappa e Ciccia restaurant, No Fire No Glory coffee shop, the FvF + Vitra apartment, Hotel Das Stue, 25 Hours Wien Hotel)

~ Sorry, short on pet entries this week. If you have submission please send them to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net.

Hotel Baume Paris

I have shared a couple of Paris hotels here in the past, specifically La Belle Juliette and Hôtel du Pantheon. Alain Bisotti sent links to photos of the latest hotel - Hôtel Baume. And this is absolutely where I would stay. I particularly love this first room. Lovely muted tones and the pale pink and black with mirrors are perfect touches of girly glam.

Baixa House

A home away from home. Perhaps I should say an apartment. Baixa House in Lisbon, Portugal is a boutique hotel of individual self-catering apartments over several floors, each with its own stylish interior. Bright white walls, scrubbed floors, vintage finds and beautiful light flooding in. Forget the holiday. I'd want to live there permanently. Via Welcome Beyond.
