Emmerson Troop

This is William Emmerson.

And these are new pieces from his new furniture line, Ab Ovo ("from the beginning").

And these are some other fabulous pieces available at his furniture gallery, Emmerson Troop, located in West Hollywood, CA. (Thanks to Laura of Emmerson Troop for emailing us.)

Autoban

Autoban is the Istanbul-based interior design, product design and architecture firm of Seyhan Ozdemir and Sefer Caglar. I am featuring some photos from their interior design work below, and since I was taken aback by their fantastic line of furniture and lighting, my favourites are shown below as well (I'll take one of each).

My love for teak credenzas

I absolutely adore teak credenzas (or credenzas that are made of teak-like wood). I have one in my living room (see photo above), a small one in my front hall and a teak-laminate dresser in my library. My parents have 2 and a dining set they are soon wanting to get rid off...now where can I fit.... Anyway, I found some photos of teak and teakish (or at least retro style) credenzas for your viewing pleasure.

Knú: sustainable contemporary furniture

Jerome of Industrial Woodworking Corp emailed to tell us about Knú, their new line of eco-friendly home office furniture that will be available only online beginning September 1. Knú furniture - by designer Bradford Davis - is produced from sustainably harvested wood products, assembled with 40% recycled post-consumer waste stainless steel hardware and is manufactured in an energy efficient facility that recently went 100% carbon neutral. They call it "Inanimate motion in crisp, sustainable form". I call it gorgeous. I adore the narrow curved legs...and that wood...

I found this website of Italian company Creazioni that sells everything from tables, beds, and bookcases to mirrors, artwork and lamps. And it's all over-the-top, theatrical, glamourous, whimsical and evokes an OMG with each design.
"Revitalising the styles of the past, relaunching them in a new light that brings out the best facets of their various precious qualities, but at the same time undermining their authority from within by camouflaging them, as it were, with lively colours, unusual materials and unprecedented finishes: that is the stylistic signature, never short of a surprise or a coup de theatre of this brand..."
