Morlen Sinoway
Had to share this great work/live space in Chicago by Morlen Sinoway. I'll let Morlen describe it.
"It’s an element of surprise in one of Chicago’s most vibrant North side neighborhoods. A former Funeral Home, Machine Shop, and home to a cult of outcasts, has been transformed into a 6,000 square foot living space and showroom for one of most prominent brands in the world of snow, big air, and fast boards. The owner is a young, fast-paced mover and shaker looking for a place to settle down...just a little. The challenge of the renovation was to create a hip sales showroom to satisfy the needs of a mega sales presentation and complement the most fashion-forward of extreme sporting brands while combining his needs with a living space that would provide room for a live-in sales team during the busy season, and a calm retreat for the owner, when his sales season is over."
Too cool Morlen and a mega dose of fab mid century classics! Check out Morlen Sinoway Atelier here for more Chicago stylin'.
Stoked for summer
I hate winter more than I can express in words, and now that summer is right around the corner, I have outdoor spaces on my mind. This lead me to 2Modern's shop, where they have a slew of modern outdoor furnishings and accessories. Plastic rugs, chairs, benches, tables, planters - such amazing pieces. Some of my favs are below (click on each to take you to the product page).
(Note: Unfortunately I don't have time for a Flickr Finds post this weekend as I am trying to get my bedroom furnished. As comfy as my new sofa is, I am a little tired of sleeping on it.)
