An English kitchen

Oh I do love an English kitchen. The wooden cabinets, in this case with a bold navy finish, the pantry cupboard, a big stove with a mantle. I love the amazing light flooding through the windows in this particular example and we don't need to mention the floors. It's not the first time I've had my head turned by Blakes London (you can see more posts here) and I'm sure it won't be the last.

A 19th century apartment in Berlin

I am completely head over heels in love with this 19th century apartment in Berlin designed and styled by Annabell Kutucu (in collaboration with Michael Schickinger). Throw in a bunch of cats, a few plants and I could very happily call this home. Forever.

Depth and reflection

Brazilian architect/designer Gisele Taranto went a little cray cray at this year's Casa Cor design competition. Lab LZ by GT is this space consisting of 3 sectors: lounge, working and library. And all of them are set upon a suspended glass floor filled with mirror shards in the space between the existing subfloor and the glass...thus bringing together the concept of depth and reflection. Now that's creative. I don't think I could live with a floor like that but what an interesting concept! (The leather Lego sofa from estudiobola is fantastic!)
