Slice of heaven

Dreaming of a heavenly home? A little piece of paradise? How about this converted church in my home town of Brisbane? The living areas are open plan with soaring “cathedral ceilings”. Of course the kitchen is an altar to all things gastronomical. I’m not going to make any baptism jokes about the plunge pool because it’s just so perfect for our subtropical climate. Currently on the market it would be a sin not to buy. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a cellar room for the altar wine.

One of our all time favourite interior designers, Greg Natale has a fabulous 6 page feature in Belle, Australia's leading design magazine. Greg generously shared the photos of this house with us back in May. Stunning!

If you can get your hands on the latest copy of Belle it's a must read. Nothing beats drooling over great interior design like Greg's in a world class magazine in real life. I'm off to pour a glass of wine and devour mine.

Glam bam thank you Ma'am!

Couldn't stop at one post about Beale Lana (see post below). I almost titled this one "If I was another room". This amazing foyer was their contribution to this year's Kips Bay Show House. Stunning! And yes those are silver egg chairs!! Glam punk and a dash of high style goth meets classic antiques and surfer chic. What a sense of fun!

I am smitten by this house, totally consumed with the idea of pacing it's floors and gazing out to sea. A spectacular building to match the spectacular site. If you are afraid of heights don't go too close to the windows. The Holman House by Durbach Block Architects in Sydney . Where else!

I love Saturdays!

What a great day thrifting! Found this fabulous 70's lamp. It needs rewiring and the shade is definitely in need of total body cosmetic surgery but it will be perfect for my living room make over. That's the fabulous fabric I mentioned in last week's WINKS. It's by metremade and just arrived. I had plans to use it on another two lampshades but it must be fate that I found this lamp. Perhaps I'll just use it as a trim on a crisp white shade. I definitely love Saturdays!
