Jobs Handtryck

When I first came across this site, the name made me chuckle. Turns out this is a textile company that makes floral fabrics (printed entirely by hand!) that are colourful and have a fun Swedish/Scandinavian vibe. This vibe is no doubt due to the fact that they are from Sweden. :) Below are some cute photos from their site and some swatches of some of my favourite fabrics they carry.

Patterns

I will admit, I am a SERIOUS patternmaniaphile. Ok, I just made that term up. Definition = someone totally obsessed with patterns. I could sit here and look at pictures of patterned wallpaper and fabrics all day. I think mixing patterns is practically an art form...and very easy to overdo or get it wrong. Here are some examples of it done right.

If you're afraid of wallpaper, simply try some patterned accessories...like these.

Élitis

Élitis is a French company that carries fabric, wallcoverings and furniture. Their style is very modern and graphic, and I adore the patterns, textures and colours they offer.

Andrew Martin

Andrew Martin, based out of London, has an incredible line of fabrics, not to mention furniture, home accessories and several books. I was in awe when I went through his diverse line of fabrics, and love that he uses images of rooms where the fabrics are used as opposed to simply displaying swatches.

Les Indiennes

Sometimes I wish I wasn't addicted to my mid century vibe. Sometimes I wish I was a little bit Provencal, a little bit faded days and cicadas thrumming in the hot summer sun. Then I would surround myself with the fabulous offerings from Les Indiennes. A complex "kalamkari" process uses hand carved wooden blocks and natural dyes. They have a deliberate faded quality evocative of antique linens.
